Improving our Transportation System : New fuel supplies and more efficient uses (A Policy Partnership Perspective)
Limits on the world’s ability to produce increasing amounts of low cost transportation fuels are arguably at the root of the current economic crisis. In this perspective, the way forward will require new sources of cost-effective transportation fuels, and more efficient methods for moving people and goods. Research and innovation is central to addressing these challenges.
Scope
This symposium will address and discuss R&D policy in support of fuel production and increased transportation efficiency.
The proposed topics are :
R&D policies in support of fuel production
R&D Policies in support of transportation efficiency
Cluster development in fuel production and transportation efficiency
Policy challenges in enabling and sustaining research and innovation in these areas
Policy challenges implementing technology advances
National and international collaborations for next generation fuel production and transportation
Publication
This symposium will be included in the WCCE8 proceedings.
