Each university may send up to two representatives to compete (both for the same competition or one for each competition). Papers may be presented in English or French. Students will be notified in advance about presentation times. |
Robert G. Auld Student Paper Competition
Sponsored by the Robert G. Auld Fund and Imperial Oil Ltd
Application
Submit an abstract of 100 to 200 words that pertains to some aspect of chemical engineering. This can include work experience and educational or social issues affecting the profession, as well as a design or research project. This paper is of a technical nature.
Eligibility
Any student currently enrolled in a Canadian undergraduate chemical engineering program.
Award
- First prize: $300 and a plaque
- Second prize: $200 and a certificate
- Third prize: $150 and a certificate
Prizes will be announced at the Undergraduate Student Banquet.
Format
The presentations will be 15 minutes in length including a question period. LCDs, slide projectors and transparency machines will be available.

Judging
A panel of 3 judges consists of representatives chosen from industry, government and academia.
