2nd International ChemE Car Competition
The 8th World Congress of Chemical Engineering continues the tradition started in Glasglow by offering the 2nd International ChemE Car Competition sponsored by FQRNT. This competition highlights creative problem solving and displays the diverse areas that are encompassed by chemical engineering.
Description
Team members design and construct a chemically powered vehicle within certain size constraints. This vehicle must be designed to also carry a specified cargo. The teams will be told at the time of the competition the distance that the car must travel and the specified cargo that the vehicle will carry. Designs will be presented at a poster session preceding the competition. Entries deemed unsafe by the judges will be disqualified. The winner will be determined by a combined score, for the poster presentation, for traveling the correct distance, and for creativity.
