Gasification and CO2 Sequestration

Chemical Engineers have been and will continue to play a major role in developing new clean energy technologies such as coal and biomass gasification, IGCC w/wo CO2 sequestration, syngas clean-up, syngas to liquids and chemicals, etc. The gasification and syngas will sit in the center of future energy industry. Growth on R&D funding continues in this field spurred on by environmental concerns and global warming due to excess CO2 release. This symposium features recent advances in gasification, syngas and CO2 sequestration related technologies and provide insight into the breakthroughs that are molding the future energy industry.
